How are we green?

In line with our commitment to efficiency in all its aspects, we have the following environmentally efficient practices in place:

1. Insulated walls. For times when active cooling is used, reduce the load required to maintain a given temperature by "wrapping" the structure in an envelope of insulation.
2. Prefabricated panels. Use recyclable molds. Eliminate the need for nonreusable, nonrecyclable form work used in conventional poured-in-place concrete.
3. Efficient-by-design philosophy. Application of natural lighting and passive cooling whenever possible to reduce the use of electricity for active lighting/cooling.

Furthermore, we are in the process of leading even more environmentally efficient initiatives:

1. Voluntary adherence to the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Rating System on all projects whenever applicable.
2. Migrating to completely reusable and recyclable form work for all projects.
3. Advocating Energy Star-certified appliances to all clients.
4. Partnering with leading green experts to aid us in these initiatives.
